Genre: Thriller

I read all types of books.

The Day of the Jackal is my favorite thriller ever written. It is so incredibly fast paced that I injured myself listening to it. I was walking laps at the YMCA and forgot what I was doing, I walked for an hour and 45 minutes and my legs hurt for 2 days after.

This is the type of book that may cause you to miss work, or at least sleep, so start it on a Friday evening.

Forsyth makes a very interesting choice. The first scene of the book is the ending. He dares you to put it down at the start, but forget that.

Tell your significant other that you need a 2 day divorce and buy this book today.

5/5 Stars

Genre: LitRPG (Just Think Erotic Fantasy, with character screen updates.)

This is my favorite book series… Period. I have read close to 1000 books, but this series is so strangely wonderful I just keep rereading it. If you enjoy fantasy. you will like this series. It has a lot of erotic scenes, which is odd since the main character is an evil box with legs.

Books 2 and 3 slow down, but book 4 really kicks the series back in the pants. I am eagerly awaiting book 5.

I could gush for many more paragraphs, but instead of reading that, just buy this hilarious, weird, and completely awesome book series.

5/5 stars.

Genre: Erotica

Great Story. Needs a better cover.

I think this title would do better with a cover that better fits the Erotica Genre. The story is great, but the physical manifestations of his dog and conscious are a little jarring.

I think if you enjoyed Antioch Swinger’s Church, you would enjoy this book.

4/5 Stars.

Genre: History

Seriously Good. Could only be an Audio Book.

I never knew that there were so many recordings of regular people talking about World War 2. This title could only be done as an audio book and it is beautiful.

Most of WW2 history focuses on the war, this tells you what it was like to be a civilian living at home.

A great listen to anyone interested in WW2.

I give this 5 out of 5 for a history book.

Genre: Erotica

Really Hot, and well written!

A really hot, very well written book. The sex scenes are very well done and vivid. It has a better plot than most most Erotica, but you get what you want with the sex scenes.

I give this 5 out of 5 for erotica. The narrator used a sultry voice, even during the the story which was not the best, but it’s still a good book.

Genre: Horror

NOS4A2 is a Horror novel by Joe Hill. The cover is a license plate spelling out the title that appears to have blood or rust at the top of the plate.

The story spans three decades and is principally about Vic McQueen fighting the self style vampire Charlie Manx. Manx’s car a 1938 Rolls Royce Wrath is the actual vampire. Vic gets away from Manx and he goes to prison. Manx dies when someone takes the engine out of the Wrath and comes back to life when the engine is restored. So the Wrath is actually a phylactery which means Manx is actually a litch… Should have put that on the effing license plate. Manx takes Vic’s son and the car slowly drains him of his health and feeds it into Manx (See Litch stuff, not Vampire).

I only read one or two horror novels a year, usually around October. This is a popular novel and from the title, I thought it was a vampire novel. I probably would have enjoyed it more if it were L17CH instead of NOS4A2. I am disgruntled because there is no fangs or drinking of blood. The first half of the book is incredibly slow. I kept getting bored and turning it to the radio or podcasts instead of listening and it took me almost a month to slog through the book. At 20 hours in audio book form, that is a lot of slogging. It picks up for the 2nd half of the book and I got into more, but still I do not recommend this book.

I give this 3 out of 5 stars. It has some interesting visuals and I really like how Joe ties the end and the beginning together. The narrator is great and really adds to the story.
